Its been a few weeks since I last shared some updates around my progress in the 2015 Skip Barber Winter Series. Check it out!
Looking Back: ROUNDS 9&10: Roebling Road (Savannah, GA)
As you know, my weekend in Roebling Road didn't go as planned. I ended up in 6th place for Round 7 but recovered with a 3rd place finish in Round 8. After Savannah, I am currently 5th in the standings (20pts behind the leader).
Looking Ahead: ROUNDS 11&12: NOLA Motorsports Park (New Orleans, Louisiana)
This is going to be a interesting race to say the least. NOLA is a relatively new track and the INDYCAR Series will be racing at this track in a few months. The track is long, smooth and make for some great racing for all of us drivers.
Speaking of drivers, the field for this race is stacked! There are new drivers who are fast, as well as drivers who raced in Skip Barber a few years ago who will be returning to compete in this race. Along with these new drivers, the field will be extremely competitive. It may even be the most racers we have had all season! And just to add to the craziness, rain is expected in the forecast...oh boy.
My strategy is to focus on getting a good qualifying position, being consistent and above all...staying out of trouble.
Looking Ahead: The final race weekend for the Winter Series
Well ladies and gentleman, we are coming down to the wire in the 2015 Skip Barber Winter Series. After New Orleans, all that's left in the championship is the final round at Sebring International Raceway in Florida. I can't begin to thank each and every one of you for making my rookie season amazing. Let's strap up, buckle down and finish off my rookie year with a BANG!
