Season Wrap-up: 2014-15 Skip Barber Winter Series

Wow! What a phenomenal Rookie Season! I earned 7 Podiums, 8 Top 5s, 3 fastest laps, 2 poles, 1 win and most importantly 5th in overall points, earning a spot in the 2015 Championship Shootout!

Check out these highlights from the finale in Sebring.

The 2014-2015 Winter Series Top 5

I entered the final race weekend of the season sitting 5th overall in the standings and looking to get back into competitive form. To do so, I needed to run smooth, clean and consistent races.

In Round 11, I qualified 8th. I fought my way up to 5th and earned my first Top 5 position since Roebling Road. I got the spot by inches at the finish line.

In Round 12, the FINAL race of the season, I again qualified 8th.  This time I fought harder and stayed alert, avoiding multiple accidents on the track. I was able to keep things clean and finished the season off with a 3rd place podium! This meant that I secured 5th overall in the standings and my invitation to the 2015 Skip Barber Championship Shootout!

Looking Ahead

Next month, the 2015 Skip Barber Summer Series begins.  It's much longer, with 8 different tracks, and will be much more competitive. To make it more successful I will be focusing on a few critical things.

  1. Training - this includes physical training, mental preparation and driving.  Join me on iRacing for practice!
  2. Content - I'm SO GLAD you're reading this, and excited to share with you all my updates and experiences. I'll be creating more videos, writing more blogs and answering your questions.
  3. Outreach - racing is such a major component of my life that I want to share it with others and I'll be exploring ways to do that - stay tuned!

I'll be sharing more updates soon, but in the meantime enjoy the off-season and get ready for some more racing in May!
